More Than a Logo: The Impact of Local Sports Sponsorships 2025 – Part 1

09.29.2025

At Reflex, giving back to our communities has always been at the heart of who we are. For us, sponsorship isn’t just about putting a logo on a shirt or a trophy, it’s about investing in people, supporting passions, and helping create opportunities that last a lifetime. From grassroots clubs to rising young athletes, we’re proud to play a small part in the journeys that inspire teamwork, resilience, and ambition.

As we kick off our 2025 series, More Than a Logo: The Impact of Local Sports Sponsorships, we’re celebrating the partnerships and stories that showcase just how powerful local sport can be. In Part 1, we look back on 26 incredible years of partnership with Oakworth Cricket Club Juniors, and we spotlight the inspiring journey of Isaac Taylor, a 5-year-old karting talent already making his mark on the track.

Celebrating 26 Years of Partnership with Oakworth CC Juniors

We are delighted to share that Reflex Label+, together with our predecessors S A Labels Ltd, have proudly supported the Oakworth Cricket Club junior section since 1998. This year marks an incredible 26 years of partnership, and we are thrilled to be continuing this valued relationship.

As the principal junior sponsoring partner, Reflex Label+ plays a vital role in helping the club nurture young talent. Each year, we are honoured to sponsor the Junior Performance Trophy, a special award purchased and donated by Reflex Label+ to recognise the outstanding achievements of the next generation of cricketers.

Oakworth CC has also recently launched a brand-new group, the Mini-Strikers, designed especially for children aged 5 to 7. Already attracting around 20 eager young players, this exciting addition brings Friday evening coaching sessions to around 60 youngsters, all guided by the club’s dedicated team of volunteers. With further sessions running on Mondays and Tuesdays, Oakworth CC is now providing cricketing opportunities for around 90 children in total.

For a relatively small village club, delivering such a wide and inclusive programme is no small feat. Yet, with the continued support of Reflex Label+, the volunteers at Oakworth CC are able to keep making cricket accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring for every child who joins.

Here’s to another fantastic season and many more years of partnership ahead!

Fuelling the Future: Isaac Taylor on Track

When one of our colleagues at Reflex Labels Boston asked us to support his grandson Isaac’s passion for karting, we were delighted to help nurture such young talent.

Isaac, together with his Dad, shares a love for cars, especially racing ones. In January this year, he had his very first “taster” day at Tattershall Karting Centre, working one-to-one with a tutor.

To say Isaac took to karting like a duck to water would be an understatement. For perspective: a 5-year-old novice driver (known as a Bambino) typically manages around 20 laps on their first day, spread over several 10-minute sessions. Isaac, however, pushed through a full six hours and clocked almost 60 laps, stopping only when Mum and Dad finally insisted he’d done enough!

Since then, Isaac has kept up his tutoring, raced at different tracks across Lincolnshire, and competed in Bambino-class races. At his very first race at Wombwell, he took 1st place in his class and he hasn’t looked back since, collecting a trophy at every race he’s entered.

Ask him what his dream is, and Isaac will tell you with a smile:
“To race and win trophies.”

We were delighted to support Isaac with some tyres storage bags to help him on his karting journey.

From grassroots to local teams and individuals, we’re thrilled to sponsor a wide range of sports initiatives across the UK. And we’re not done yet, Part 2 is on its way!
