The Pioneers of Product Packaging

10.08.2024

Innovation and sustainability have always been a key focus for the Reflex Group and our recent editorial in Inside Sustainability magazine captures the key achievements and milestones we have reached in the last 12 months on our sustainability journey to becoming “the world’s most sustainable packaging company”.

This journey has seen significant progress over the last 12 months.

We’ve innovated with sustainable products like:

  • Linerless Lite™, which contains less than 1% plastic in the entire pack, making it a fully recyclable solution for fresh produce packaging.
  • Stereo Labels™ – labels printed on both sides of the liner, reducing liner waste by 50%.
  • Banana Belts – a 100% renewable, recyclable and biodegradable paper-based band for bananas which is the perfect alternative to plastic packaging – all without sacrificing brand visibility or essential product information.

Our commitment to carbon neutrality, achieved in partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain™, reflects our dedication to reducing our environmental impact. With over 2,000 solar panels now installed at key sites, we continue to lead the industry in reducing our carbon footprint.

Our award-winning innovations, like the Reflex Liner Recycling Project, have earned us accolades, including the CSR Award at the 2024 FPA Awards.

What sets Reflex apart is our agility in bringing these ideas to market. As an independently owned company, we invest in sustainable innovations quickly, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the packaging industry. Our Proof Plus site turns concepts into reality by quickly producing prototypes which match exact on-shelf requirements, reducing time-to-market and lowering cost by ensuring the product meets our clients’ exact requirements without having to do a full print run.

Our dedication to sustainability, combined with a deep respect for environmental responsibility, is driving Reflex Group’s transformation into a global leader in eco-friendly packaging.
