Introducing Linerless Lite™, our new linerless product designed to give the aesthetics of a punnet but the cost appeal of a label. Applied using a Ravenwood applicator, this product contains less than 1% plastic use in the whole pack making it fully recyclable.
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes over the past 12-18 months on a new product development, which we are proud to say is the first to market in our industry.
For Reflex Group, innovation and quality have always been paramount and we are excited to bring this exclusive product to the market, with the first order rolled out across many M&S stores in January. After successful trials and then the launch from ISS in Kent, the 4 pack of Kiwis is the first to use this new concept of packaging and we’re excited to see how it performs in store.
Ricky Shattock from M&S said: “Our collaboration with Reflex on this project aligns with our Plan A commitment of making our food packaging widely recyclable by 2025. The new pack also aligns with our commitment to make our packaging as easy to recycle as possible. Maintaining visibility of the product inside was crucial for us, and Reflex’s innovative Linerless Lite™ product has made that possible.”
An extension to our growing linerless offering, Linerless Lite™ offers all the same benefits of using linerless labels, less waste and more labels per roll. Linerless Lite™ has the additional benefit of including clear apertures, which maintain pack closure requirements using lamination, whilst still providing a great aesthetic look to the packaging.
Jamie Gordon from Reflex Group adds, “We’re absolutely thrilled that M&S and ISS partnered with Reflex for this project! While the linerless concept isn’t new, we’ve given it a fresh twist to bring a fantastic aesthetic to the products, all while ensuring the packs stay wonderfully fresh. Using water-based inks adds that extra eco-friendly touch. We’re really pleased to see the product in stores.”
